The goal
With vape culture on the rise, SAUC sought to create a safer CBD alternative for their modern and urban consumer base. Beginning with a line of boutique E-liquids before creating their own device (self-dubbed THE CART KILLER™), SAUC needed visual branding that was simple and sophisticated, yet bold and daring - appealing to demographics ranging from working professionals to street artists.
The process
For SAUC's new lead-free cannabinoid delivery system, simplicity and minimalism were key. The device was innovative, but the UX needed to feel familiar and intuitive. The packaging needed to showcase the ease of use, polished design, and other unique product attributes. The utilization of straightforward iconography and bold typography evoke an Apple-esque level of sleekness, while a stark color palette throughout implies the sterility of a health product, differentiating SAUC from its color-heavy, taste-forward, health-averse competitors.
